Many of the best-selling games and gizmos these days evoke mixed feelings in me. I’ll part with my cash to own some of them like everyone else of course. But at the same time there’s the little entrepreneur on my shoulder saying ‘That’s so simple, why didn’t I think of that?’
The first time I got that feeling was Pogz. (No more clues about my age, but you get the idea.)
The latest of my frustrations that I’ve seen popping up all over my office are these Nanobot Gyros.
The concept is simple. A pair of magnets are mounted inside a little plastic ball in such a way that they can rotate and spin independently of the ball.
That’s it.

But for the physicist in me, it’s up there with the Newton’s Cradle in terms of desk-toy fun (and it’s far less annoying to my office mates).
Right now over at Tech Deals you can pick up a pair of them for $39.95, which is 20% down on their usual price.
If those stress spinners you’ve been seeing everywhere just don’t quite satisfy your fidgeting needs, click the button below to get your hands on the Nanodots while they’re on sale.
