During an unannounced visit to Kyiv, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, in a video posted to the Ukrainian leader's Twitter account thanked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for fighting for freedom.
"We believe that we are visiting you to say thank you for your fight for freedom, that we are on a frontier of freedom and that your fight is a fight for everyone," Pelosi said in the video. "And so our commitment is to be there for you until the fight is done."

Other US officials, including Rep. Adam Schiff, Rep. Jim McGovern, and Rep. Jason Crow, joined Pelosi on the unannounced visit to Kyiv.
It is unclear how long the congressional representatives will be in Ukraine. Pelosi's office did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment about the trip.
