It's an amazing tool and you can so a lot with it (search files, contacts, open applications, get weather info or search the web). But there is a more powerful tool and it's called Alfred. It's kind of your personal butler. It does all the things that Spotlight does but soooo much more. I will show you what you can do in this video.
