Sundar Pichai is on stage at Google I/O 2017, kicking the show off with some fun statistics. First and foremost, we are all a part of the now over two billion active daily users of Android devices.
The number one billion was thrown around as well, let’s explore.
Google I/O is taking place at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. As always, fun stats kick off the show, as I say, one billion crossed the screens first. Google Maps, Gmail, Play Store, Search, Chrome and more have cracked the threshold.
YouTube was lumped in there as well, but we’re not talking about one billion active daily users, we’re talking one billion hours of consumption each day!
Google Drive is up to eight hundred million active daily users, not bad.
Google Photos is now up to five hundred million active users, but that may change soon. With the new Google Lens smart filters and features, the value of the service for preserving and isolating your memories may entice more users as we go.
Finally, two billion active daily Android devices. That’s right you and I help account for over 2,000,000,000 Android devices that power on every day.
Stay tuned for more fun and facts from the Google I/O conference over the next couple days. We’ve got people on the ground and will be bringing you the best stuff we can find.
