How to Download Netflix Shows, Movies for Offline Viewing in Windows 10

Want to download Netflix Shows, Movies for offline viewing? If yes, here’s how to do it without any third-party apps.

Last year, Netflix added a feature that made it possible for iOS and Android users to download shows and movies and watch them offline. Finally, the feature is coming to Windows 10. The feature is still rolling out, so you may not see it right away yet.

To download Netflix Shows or Movies, you'll have to use the native Netflix app which often comes as part of the standard Windows 10 bloatware package, so ensure you have that installed first. You can easily download that on the Windows store.

Note that the shows and movies that is available for download is somewhat limited, but Netflix original series such as "House of Cards" and "BoJack Horseman" can be download freely.

So to download movies, navigate to an episode of a movie displaying the download symbol (an arrow pointing down) button, and then press it.

Then it will start downloading the video. The video download process might take a little time due to the video size or the speed of your internet. Once you’ve downloaded it successfully, you can start watching it offline.

To see all of the videos that are available for download for offline viewing, click on the hamburger menu at the top-left and select "Available for Download." From the dropdown menu, there's also a section called "My Downloads" that displays anything that you've downloaded to watch later.

This is expected to make plane trips and other long efforts without an internet connection much easier. This is also handy when you have a bad connection and want to watch a show without it skipping through the best parts.
