Here are the best new iPhone games out and on sale now!

Here's what's new in iOS gaming this week!

Every Thursday I go on a quest to find all the notable new games released on the App Store over the week, but instead of taking all the gold and experience for myself, I pass my knowledge on to you! Whether you're looking for new games, games on-sale, or wondering if your favorite game got a big update, I'll break down all the notable iOS gaming news for you!

New games of the week

Need something new and shiny? Every week tons of games hit the App Store, and I keep track, so you don't have to; here are the notable releases for this week.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series

I'm a huge personal fan of the Telltale Inc. games and when it released Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series this week you bet I went and downloaded it right away.

If you're unfamiliar with Telltale games, they are story-driven point-and-click adventure games and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is no different. The big hallmark of any game Telltale Inc. puts out is the choices the player gets to make that affect the game along the way.

I have played the game for about 20 or 30 minutes already, and I'm surprised with the story line so far, and the decisions the game has forced me to make have been pretty impactful.

I can't say too much more about Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series without spoiling the story, but if you have enjoyed Telltale games in the past or a huge fan of the point-and-click adventure gameplay, Telltale Inc. knocked it out of the park with this one.

Ms. Spell

Ms. Spell lives up to her name in this retro-styled turn-based RPG, as she ventures into a forest to retrieve her lost book.

You'll need to cast spells to defeat enemies and find items on your adventure in order to venture deep into the rogue-like forest.

No two adventures with Ms. Spell are ever the same!

Terra Mystica

One of the latest board games to be created for iOS, Terra Mystica is a deeply involved strategy game.

You will need to govern one of 14 factions trying to transform the game board in your favor in order to build your structures. You'll need to upgrade your structures, and collect resources — like workers and pries — to gain the upper hand over your opponents.

Each faction has unique special abilities, as well as bonus cards, which allow you to employ a large number of strategies!

Evergrow: Paper Forest

A unique twist on the puzzle genre, Evergrow: Paper Forest puts you in the shoes of an imaginative child and his parents playing in his room.

In each 3D puzzle, the player must guide a rabbit to fill all tiles with grass while avoiding dangerous obstacles.

As the player progresses in the game the child and his parents change around the room, allowing for big and more complicated puzzles.

Games on sale this week

Good things come to those who wait! Every week games go on sale, and you can take advantage of great savings. Here are the notable sales of this week.

Warbits

The extremely popular — and oddly cute-looking — war game Warbits is on sale right now for only $0.99!

In the campaign mode, you'll battle through 20 missions as you unravel the story of a dysfunctional galaxy in dire straights and the war simulator designed to save it.

Challenge mode offers 30 missions for you to test out various skills in the game, and there is even a killer online multiplayer mode that lets you challenge people from all over the world.

Cut the Rope: Magic

The newest installment of the popular series Cut the Rope, comes with mystical and magical Cut the Rope: Magic.

The principle of the game mechanics are still the same, cut the ropes in the right order to drop candies into the Om Nom's mouths.

With over 160 new and colorful puzzles, getting this game for Free is a steal, especially if you love the other games in the series.

Updates of the week

Games are constantly being updated with new features, bug fixes, and gameplay tweaks. Here are the notable updates for this week.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends: Bethesda has been listening to your feedback and has updated The Elder Scrolls: Legends for balancing reasons. They also included some minor bug fixes, as while as some cosmetic errors in certain cards, and they added some new cards. Check out The Elder Scrolls: Legends on the App Store for full details on the update.

Luke's game of the week.

Star Knight

Star Knight is a mobile platformer that does so many things right in an area where other iOS platformers have failed. The slower pace to the gameplay offers a good solution to the limitations that touchscreen controls provide and yet offers gameplay that is fluid and enjoyable. Combine all that with the fact that you get 60 levels and no ads, makes Star Knight well worth its $2.99 price tag.
