Samsung Gear 360 was announced at MWC 2016 and made its way to the US in August. Originally available for $349.99, the camera can now be yours for far less. Amazon is currently offering a $124 discount on the device which means you can get your hands on it for just $225.99.
The Gear 360 has a unique look thanks to its spherical shape. It sports two 15 MP sensors with f/2.0 apertures that allow you to take 360-degree photos as well as videos. Of course, you also have the option of using just one of the cameras instead of two, which means the device’s capabilities aren’t limited to creating only 360 content.
There’s a small tripod stand included in the box that always comes in handy. You are able to close it, meaning it can be used as a holder as well. The Gear 360 is a great device, but it does have its limitations. It is only compatible with selected Samsung smartphones including the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge. This means that its target market is somewhat limited.
