The 17 British companies with the best job interviews, according to applicants

lloyd blankfein

Glassdoor, the anonymous workplace review and job listing site, has compiled a list of UK companies that have the best interview experience.

The list ranks employers based solely on the input of interview candidates who provide anonymous feedback on things like their overall interview experience, the interview process, and the difficulty of the interview.

Glassdoor analysed data on companies with over 1,000 employees and looked at interview reviews from the last year. Each company had to have at least 25 reviews to qualify and is given a percentage rating based on the average overall experience of job applicants.

Check out who has the slickest interview process below:

T=16. Asda: 91%

Positivity rating: 91%.

Industry: Supermarkets.

Employee review: Customer Assistant candidate in Middlesborough — "Group interview, made a balloon tower - was really fun and low pressure. After that we were put into groups and had to try and sell a product back to the management team. Finally came a 1:2 interview which was based around customer service and work ethics."

T=16. Waitrose: 91%

Positivity rating: 91%.

Industry: Supermarkets.

Employee review: Supermarket Assistant candidate in Eastbourne — "We had an introduction to the interviewing managers that were really nice and friendly, the did some small talk to put us at ease. It started off with the "formal" interview process which was fairly informal because I chatted to the interviewer a bit beforehand. Then we did a group exercise where we had to match Waitrose staff to different scenarios and then present why we did this. There were a few funny ones in there which kept the process less intense."

T=12. M&G: 92%

Positivity rating: 92%.

Industry: Investment.

Employee review: Investment Graduate candidate in London — "Video Interview involving 12 questions (30 seconds to prepare 3 mins to answer) and you are not expected to use up all the time. It isn't as scary as it sounds and if you prepare well it is fine."
