Every week, the iTunes Store adds new movies and TV content to its catalog, and every week we bring you the best of what it has to offer.

To finish out the year, Apple is holding a big sale on a host of movies, with many titles available for purchase for as little as $4.99. These include films like Inception and The Fifth Element, along with newer releases like Sicario and The Hateful Eight. You can also get movie bundles, such as the Star Wars saga and the Harry Potter series at discounted prices as well.

Best new movies on iTunes

This week in movies starts with Deepwater Horizon,which dramatizes the events surrounding the fire on the offshore drilling rig of the same name. You can also pre-order Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the story of how the Rebel Alliance stole the Death Star plans. The HD discounts this week see recent releases, including Bad Moms, Star Trek Beyond, and Central Intelligence available for under $10. The Movie of the Week is Now You See Me 2, which is available for a $0.99 rental and a $9.99 purchase.

Best new TV shows on iTunes

Our look at this week's TV starts with new episodes of Shooter, Designated Survivor, and Elementary. Fans of Friends can currently get each of its seasons for $10 each. This week, get discounted premiere seasons of shows that have completed their runs, with seasons of Forever, Breaking Bad, Monk, and more on sale for under $5.
