Do you know you can now save a webpage/websites for offline view on Tablets with the new Chrome? With the Chrome 55 for android, you can now easily save a webpage for offline view.
Most android users often use apps like Pocket or Instapaper if they want to save a webpage or save an article from the internet to read later on your Android tablet since it only retains the text content of the webpage. Fortunately, Google is has integrated a complete-page downloading into Chrome 55 for Android, which is supposed to roll out last week.
Not only you can save webpage/article with this feature, you can also download music and videos according to Chrome 55 release notes. This update also helps to look out for typos and highlighting misspelled words you type in text fields.
In order to know if your Android tablet can download the browser update, open the Google Play store on your phone, tap on the top left Menu button. Then tap on “My apps & games.” Then select Chrome from the list of apps displayed, and then tap on “Read More” below the “What's New box.” So at the bottom left corner of the app, you'll see the latest version number available to your device.
If the version displayed is version 55, just tap on the back navigation button and then tap on Upgrade at the top right corner.
Or you can simply download it from Google Play directly. This much easier compared to the guide explained above.
